Weston-super-Mare, 2003
Screen print on paper
Edition of 150, Signed
35 x 100 cm, (13 3/4 x 39 3/8 in.)

With 'Weston-super-Mare’, 2003, Banksy choses a renown English seaside resort as the subject for a humorous reflection on British society. It is likely that Banksy had visited Weston-super-Mare, as it is close to Bristol, his hometown.

The signed screen print on paper, part of edition of 150, presents the viewer with the image of a man sitting on a bench, who appears to be lost in thought. On the right, there is a rotating bandsaw, which seems to be cutting its way towards him.
