ANDY WARHOL | Silver Screen to Silk Screen: Printing Marilyn Monroe ,
At the recent Christie’s New York Post- War and Contemporary Art Sale, Warhol’s ‘Four Marilyns’ realised $36 million. The representation of Silver Screen icons as reified commodities is a recurring theme present throughout the Artist’s 1960 body of work. Andipa Gallery has several examples of these ‘Silver Screen Prints’ in our collection which are available at the gallery to view.
